In his former role, Pittman led communications efforts for a statewide non-profit child advocacy organization, Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families. He managed the organization’s media relations, developed successful strategic communications plans around numerous public policy issues and supported development programs.

Prior to joining Advocates, Pittman worked at The Thompson Group, a regional public affairs firm where he created and implemented winning campaign strategies for dozens of political clients at the state and local level. His past political clients have included various legislative leaders, Speakers of the House and current Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe. He also successfully counseled numerous corporate clients on strategies to achieve their public policy goals in venues across the country. His corporate clients have included members of the telecom, agriculture, energy, commercial development and retail industries.

He received his bachelor's degree in political science from Hendrix College in Conway, Ark. and currently lives in Little Rock with his wife, Jeanine and their son, Spencer.
