In addition to her responsibilities at Fleishman-Hillard, she is also a former lecturer in public affairs at the Management Centre Europe in Brussels; Member of the American European Community Association (AECA); and Council Member for Belgium of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA).

Wunnerlich has worked in EU policy and public affairs consultancy since 1988 when she began advising clients on their strategy in advance of the completion of the Single European Market.  This followed a number of years in Germany working in pan-European communications for the publisher Springer-Verlag.

Wunnerlich is a graduate of Cambridge and Heidelberg universities and speaks English, German and French.
