Washington, DCCarey Tarbell, a Partner at VOX Global, has nearly 20 years experience as a communications strategist and consultant to senior managers at large coalitions, associations, non-profits and corporations, primarily within the consumer financial services industry. Tarbell’s unique expertise in coalition management and issue advocacy has helped various industries achieve their most important public policy objectives.
Prior to joining VOX, Tarbell served as executive director of The National Journal’s Policy Council, a membership of nearly 100 leading organizations including corporations, trade associations, think tanks and nonprofits.
Earlier in her career, Tarbell served as executive vice president in the Washington, DC office of Powell Tate|Weber Shandwick. Over the span of her 13 year tenure with the firm she managed many of the firm’s largest and most complex clients including two separate coalitions of financial services providers seeking to improve the legislative and regulatory environment surrounding their industry. She also provided counsel to Vinson & Elkins, Enron’s principal law firm, during the outbreak of corporate failures and accounting scandals.
